The satellite rights of forthcoming film Kaala starring Superstar Ranjinikanth have been acquired by leading entertainment channel. According to the latest update, ‘Kaala’ has been reportedly bought by the leading Hindi channel, Star TV, for a whopping Rs 75 Cr.
This is a record price considering that no other South Indian film barring 2.0 and Baahubali managed to create such a hysteria without boasting top cast and technical crew and star director. Earlier the satellite rights of Rajini’s sci-fi 2.0 was sold out for Rs 108 Cr. 2.0 has big names like Akshay Kumar, Amy Jackson, director Shankar and music composer A R Rahman.
Kaala, directed by Pa Ranjith and produced by Dhanush under the banner of Wunderbar Films. Apart from Rajinikanth, the film has others stars like Nana Patekar, Huma Qureshi, Samuthirakani, Eswari Rao and others in important role
The movie is set in the Mumbai backdrop, loaded with political messages aimed at giving an image of Messiah to the superstar, who has taken his plunge into politics. The film is scheduled to hit the theaters on 27th April 2018.
